Business Development & Capture Coaching

An action-oriented process of self-discovery and behavioral change that meets individual and company business development needs.

We focus on helping Business Developers gain an awareness of their current business development skills (a look in the mirror) and then work to achieve individual development objectives. The coaching model includes:

  • Setting the baseline: Through several meetings, we develop trust and reach agreement on the current level of skills and capability and identify gaps for improvement - listening to the individual about his/her concerns and views and aligning them to the goals of the company.

  • Plan of Action:  We work with the individual to develop a set of actionable goals or results they are committed to achieving - what needs to be done, including when and how. This step results in a “plan of action” for achieving desired business development outcomes.

  • Mentoring: We meet regularly with the Business Developer to review progress on action plans, mentor on current issues and provide guidance on obstacles or doubts. We serve as a sounding board, cheerleader, and coach to help shape and sustain improvement.

  • Evaluate progress: How has the individuals’ capabilities and skillset changed? Has the change had the desired impact to generate more business?
